I was born in Austin, Texas. I grew up from about 4 years old until 21 years old in Saint Louis, Mo, USA. My earliest memories of the magic of art was playing with colored pencils that my grandmother gave me when I was perhaps 3 or 4 years old. I also recall being very impressed by an artist who came to our first grade class room and showed us how to make a cube. This amazed me. I decided then that I wanted to be an artist. I am now 41 and I have lived and supported my family completely as a working artist for about 7 years now. I am married and have three children and live in Central Mexico overlooking 'The City of Eternal Spring', Cuernavaca. I have been working on this series of collages called the Fusion Series since 1983. There are now over 1,300 works in this series.
