She was born and raised in Long Island, New York.
At a very early age she had the strong desire to draw or paint what she loved: the clouds, the reflection of light, the ocean waves, the reflection in a pond of water. Hours were spent even as a young child drawing textures, shapes and shadows moving on later to exploring many medias.
Now a signature member of the National Society of the Painters in Casein and Acrylics, Inc., she is primarily painting garden scenes,florals,landscapes, waterscapes,waves, skies and beach scenes in Acrylic, Casein or Oil. She studied art in high school, college, and with various professional artists and is continuing everyday to learn; sketching and painting and experimenting with new media. Watching and observing light, colors, shadows, shapes, people and movement. Janet is also a scenic painter for theater and has been a costume designer as well. She has won many awards for her work and she has paintings in collections throughout the United States. |
