Army brat, Air Force spouse, teacher's wife, and artist describe my life. Perpetual changes in location taught me geography the easy way and gave me glances at the great museum art collections of both Europe and the United States. I was born in America. At age five I wanted to the KING when I grew up. After realizing that wasn't a viable career choice, becoming an artist became my goal. I taught myself to draw and paint and began to market my work in local galleries wherever I landed. Life got in the way of art resume building, but an academic stamp of approval came after I'd put my husband through the Air Force and the kids through college. I attended the University of South Carolina and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Art and History. My graduate work at Texas Woman's University led to an All-Level Art teaching certificate. Art related jobs I've held are: art gallery director, art teacher and picure framer. Other bill payers included: field representative for a heavy construction company, traveling salesperson, furniture store manager, substitute teacher, and truck driver. Those were the fun jobs the others aren't worth mentioning. I am now a full time resident artist in Cass county, Texas.
